Tawa garlic bread is a variation of the all famous garlic bread. You can now make garlic bread at home and you do not require exquisite ingredients to prepare it. Tawa garlic bread, as the name symbolizes, is prepared on a tawa or a flat pan.
Tawa garlic bread is prepared by applying garlic butter on white sandwich bread and seasoned with chilli flakes, coriander and mixed herbs to enhance the flavours. The flavours of the garlic and the butter ooze out, when taken a bite making you feel ecstatic.

TAWA GARLIC BREAD VIDEO RECIPE

White sandwich bread - 4 slices
Melted butter - 60 g
Garlic (peeled and cut) - 7-8 cloves
Salt to taste
Mixed herbs - ½ tsp
Chilli flakes - 1 tsp
Coriander (chopped) - few strands

1. Cut all the edges of the bread slices and keep them aside.
2. Take garlic pieces in a mortar.
3. Crush it coarsely with a pestle.
4. Add the melted butter in a cup.
5. Add the crushed garlic and salt.
6. Add mixed herbs and chilli flakes.
7. Add chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
8. Heat a flat pan.
9. Spread the garlic butter on one side of a bread slice.
10. Place it facing downwards onto the heated pan.
11. Allow it to cook for 30 seconds on high flame.
12. Alongside, spread the garlic butter on the other side.
13. Flip it over onto the other side and toast it for another 30 seconds.
14. Remove from the stove on to a cutting board.
15. Cut it into 3 long strips.
16. Serve hot.
- 1. The cutting of the edges of the bread slices is optional.

STEP BY STEP - HOW TO MAKE TAWA GARLIC BREAD
1. Cut all the edges of the bread slices and keep them aside.

2. Take garlic pieces in a mortar.

3. Crush it coarsely with a pestle.

4. Add the melted butter in a cup.

5. Add the crushed garlic and salt.


6. Add mixed herbs and chilli flakes.


7. Add chopped coriander leaves and mix well.


8. Heat a flat pan.

9. Spread the garlic butter on one side of a bread slice.

10. Place it facing downwards onto the heated pan.

11. Allow it to cook for 30 seconds on high flame.

12. Alongside, spread the garlic butter on the other side.

13. Flip it over onto the other side and toast it for another 30 seconds.


14. Remove from the stove on to a cutting board.

15. Cut it into 3 long strips.

16. Serve hot.
