Post-Partum Haemorrhoids Treatment Through Infrared Coagulation

The best way to handle postpartum hemorrhoids is to prevent it by following a few postnatal care tips. However, in some cases, application of certain creams will also help. Minor surgery might be required in severe cases. One efficient post-partum haemorrhoids treatment is infrared coagulation.
How does infrared coagulation cure post-partum haemorrhoids?
In this procedure the doctor uses a device that starts an intense infrared light beam. This causes a scar tissue, which cuts the supply of blood to the haemorrhoid. Once the haemorrhoid dies, a scar is formed on the anal canal. The scar tissue also holds back other nearby veins.
This post-partum haemorrhoid treatment is given only to one haemorrhoid at a time. After a gap of 10-15 days, another haemorrhoid treatment is given.
Infrared coagulation treatment for post-partum haemorrhoids may cause a little discomfort or pain in the lower abdomen area. Sometimes there might be bleeding, when the haemorrhoid breaks away. But the bleeding will not be too heavy and will stop after about a week.
Care after an infrared coagulation treatment to cure post-partum haemorrhoid:
- Sitz Bath: Sitting in a tub of warm water for about 10-15 minutes, helps reduce pain and even cures faster.
- Taking laxative will ease bowel movements, else if you strain yourself during this period, you might end up getting back the haemorrhoids.
This is one of the effective post-partum haemorrhoid treatment that will help you.
