For those lovers of James Bond movies and would want a chance to own something of the legendary James Bond, an auction was held where the Walther air pistol which was held by Sean Connery in a publicity shot for the James Bond classic 'From Russia With Love", has fetched more than 250,000 pounds at an auction.

This James Bond pistol was sold for a heavy price of 277,250 pounds, more than 10 times its estimate of 15,000-20,000 pounds at Christie"s in London. The auction took place on Thursday.

During the auction, a rare Darth Vader costume made for Star Wars film 'The Empire Strikes Back" failed to sell. It is reported that no bidder offered to pay the heavy price tag of 230,000 pounds for the costume.

Apart from the Walther air pistol, another item from the James Bond movies was sold, which is the pistol featured in the movie, 'The Man With The Golden Gun". It was sold at a price of 15,000 pounds.
