The Bloom Of Tulips In Kashmir

When many of the Indian tourists prefer to go to Holland, just to see the tulips, Kashmir can be an ideal and affordable tourist destination for them. The garden at the foothills of Zabarwan overlooking the famed Dal Lake has about 60 varieties of multi-colored tulips.
'Siraj Bagh', which has become home to tulips in Kashmir, has a unique and feasible topography that suits different varieties of flowers. It has slopes suited for different varieties of fruit plants and wilderness suitable for wild flora and bushes. The climate also makes the festival as a pleasant experience for the visitors.

Tulips initially originated in Persia and migrated to Europe in 17th century. Tulips developed in different varieties in the mountain areas of Holland extending from Europe to Central Asia.
The plantation of tulips begins from September and before the winter season.
The festival also incorporates state's traditional art and culture that you cannot see anywhere else in India.
