Hollywood actor, Mel Gibson is always finding out ways to improve himself. He says that the best suggestion he ever received was to take up gardening.

The 53-year-old star now grows vegetables to become a better person.

When girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva gave birth to daughter Lucia Anne, the Braveheart actor who recently became a father for the eighth time, says the best advice he was ever given by anybody was to dig and plant.

The actor was adviced to do so long ago but he finally got a chance to try his hands on it.

So a lot of ditch-digging and vegetable growing is going with the actor.
