Elle Macpherson Slashes £2m From House Price

Aussie model Elle Macpherson has become the latest celebrity to fall victim to the economic recession. The credit crunch has prompted her to slash 2 million pounds off the asking price for her house.

Macpherson, 45, has plush home in London"s fashionable Notting Hill district. She had put the property on the market last summer (08) for 9.5 million pounds.

After the economic downturn the huge seven-storey house failed to attract a buyer. The model then dropped the price to 8.95 million pounds in January.

But with the worsening economic crisis, she has been forced to lower the price on the property to 7.5 million pounds. She had bought the home for 6.25 million pounds in 2006.
