Sanjay Dutt nervous over TADA court verdict
Mumbai, Nov 5 (UNI) Film star Sanjay Dutt says he feels nervous over the impending TADA court verdict in the 1993 Bombay blasts case though he is mentally prepared for the worst.
''I will start crying'' if acquitted and ''will face it'' if convicted, Sanjay Dutt said in an interview to the CNN-IBN channel for its programme Devil's Advocate.
Speaking for the first time about his state of mind and how he is preparing himself for the judgment, which is expected in a few days, the film star admits he is ''nervous'' and ''apprehensive'' and is unable to concentrate on his work.
''I'm nervous, I'm apprehensive. I wish and pray everything goes well and I get my freedom. It's not easy to lead a normal life at this stage.
''I have not worked for the last three months. This is the most important situation in my life. You cannot concentrate on your work.
You have to be focussed on this. I have to prepare for a lot of things -- in both ways,'' he told Mr Karan Thapar who conducted the interview.
Asked whether he has ''made up your mind that whatever the court says you will accept it,'' he said ''yes.'' ''In other words, mentally you have prepared yourself for the worst if the worst has to happen,'' he was asked further.
''Yes, I have,'' he said.
Karan Thapar: That couldn't be very easy? Sanjay Dutt: No, it's not easy but you have to prepare yourself.
If it is that way you have got to accept it.
The TADA court here began delivering its judgments in the case on September 12 and the verdict pertaining to Sanjay Dutt is still awaited.
