Get Rid Of Mold On Damp Furniture

During the winter season, one of the most common problems when it comes to wooden furniture is the white molds that forms on the furniture. According to experts, it is believed that wooden furniture once it gets wet or damp, it should be allowed to dry in the sun for a long period of hours. If the wooden furniture does not receive good sunlight in order for it to dry, mold begins to form on it.

Therefore, to avoid and get rid of this seasonal problem on wooden furniture, you need to follow these easy steps.
- The first step is to store the damp furniture in direct sunlight for a maximum amount of hours. Wait for the mold to become dry and it will be easier to get rid of the mold.
- Using a coconut broom, sweep the mold off the damp furniture. You need to brush the damp furniture well with the coconut broom. If the mold is stubborn in coming out from the furniture, brush it a little harder.
- After you have brushed the mold from the damp furniture, you will see that there will be light stains on the furniture. Molds tend to stain wooden furniture. So, in order to remove the stains from the damp furniture, use a wet cloth soaked in white vinegar and wipe the mold.
- The next step is for you to now dry the wooden furniture in the sunlight for an hour or so. When the smell of the vinegar has left the furniture. Use a dry cloth to wipe it again. This time wipe the wooden furniture gently.
- Now, using a cotton wool wipe the wooden furniture with a little lemon juice and water diluted to the same ratio. The acid which is present in the lemon will not allow mold to grow on the wooden furniture again.
- After this process is done, let your furniture stay for half an hour in the sunlight.
