Now, heart disorders may affect people of any age and gender; however, it is more common in people above the age of 40 and not seen much in children.
These days, due to the various unhealthy habits that people follow, heart ailments have become extremely common.
Unhealthy diet habits that involve a lot of fat-rich foods can increase the cholesterol levels in the body, making it harder for the heart to pump blood through the blood vessels, thus weakening the organ.

1. Fatigue During Physical Activity
If you have started to feel extremely tired even after performing just a few minutes of physical activities, like, walking, jogging, cleaning, etc., it is time to get your heart checked!

If your heart is weak, then it won't be able to pump enough blood to the genitals, causing problems like erectile dysfunction.

3. Hypertension
If you have been suffering from high blood pressure for a long time, chances are that your heart could also be affected, as your heart has to pump blood with too much pressure every second!

4. Persistent Cough
If you have a condition called congestive heart failure, certain fluids may get collected in your lungs through the heart, causing persistent coughs, that people mistake for regular cough!

5. Swollen Extremities
If you notice that your hands and feet are frequently swollen, your heart could be in trouble, because it may not be able to pump enough blood that can reach your extremities, so the veins push fluids, causing your hands and feet to swell up.

6. Neck Pain
If you have a constant neck pain, you could have a heart ailment, because your heart lacks oxygenated blood that can be pumped upwards to the neck.

One of the silent side effects of heart ailments is inflammation, especially inflammation of the gums, so you must never ignore it!
