Foods n Drinks To Cure Tonsillitis

Tonsillitis is a throat infection that occurs on the tonsil. Tonsils are two masses of lymph tissue that are located on each side of the throat. These tonsils prevents the respiratory organ from infections. However, tonsils can very easily get infected. Tonsillitis is often accompanied with sore throat, swollen tonsils, throat pain, itchiness, ear ache, fever and cold chills. These throat problems makes it difficult to eat and drink.
So, it is fair enough to know what causes throat infections? Chilled drinks, sour foods, cold, fever and bacteria are common causes of tonsillitis. When you have tonsils, you should stick to some soft foods like plain pasta, rice, yogurt and puddings that are easy to swallow and provide relief too. Certain foods like citrus fruits, chilled or sour fruits and snacks can increase throat pain and itchiness. So, if you are suffering from tonsillitis, you should have selected nutritious foods that are easy to swallow and also helps cure the throat infection.
Apart from having right foods, drink some healthy fluids like lukewarm water, lemon and honey juice. They kill bacteria and provides relief from throat pain, itchiness, soreness and irritation. Moreover, dehydration can slower the recovery process. Drinking liquids is really difficult when you are suffering from tonsillitis.
