ICW 2014: Manish Malhotra Embeds Gold In Outfits
The collection titled ‘Portraits' is said to feature exquisite jewel tones, old world gold and an interesting play on couture . Manishs designs is traditional and modern at the same time. To define Manish Malhotra's collection at ICW 2014 on day 5, it was brilliant. More than the colours, it was the work on each of the outfits which took our breath away.
The coutures seen on the ramp were heavy with combinations of gold and other precious gems. Showstoppers for his collection Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy looked bright and dazzling. The ramp was filled with models that walked in poise and grace in shades of crimson red, black and most of all beige.
The vintage colours which have been used on his creations took more than 4 months to bring it to this perfection. Some of the outfits are even exceptional with different expressions of gold which is - antique vintage gold as mentioned earlier and old world yellow gold and much more.

The zari on a handful of his collection at ICW 2014 was a delight to the eyes as it had ivory thread-work set against a back drop of luscious beige. Taking a look at his varied collection at ICW 2014, Manish Malhotra for the first time has tried his hand at grape-wine silks that includes emerald, ruby, etc.
His ‘portrait' collection seemed complete only when Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy made an appearance on the ramp. If it wasn't for the couple who rounded off Manish Malhotra's collection on day 5 at ICW 2014, we would not have fallen head over heels!
