Nail It! 7 Easy Steps For Salon-Like Manicured Nails At Home
You wouldn't believe how simple it is to get a salon-quality manicure at home. With a little effort and the appropriate methods, you can treat yourself and show off immaculate nails without going over budget.
Simply follow these 7 steps, to become an expert at at-home manicures.
Gather Your Supplies
The secret to a successful manicure is preparation. Get the following supplies ready: cotton pads, nail clipper, nail file, nail polish remover, cuticle pusher, base coat, buffer, nail polish, and topcoat.

For an extensive experience, a bowl of steaming water, cuticle oil, and hand lotion can also be beneficial. To keep your skin and nails from drying out, use a nail paint remover without acetone.
Remove Old Nail Polish And Clean Your Nails

Start by using a mild remover to get rid of any old polish. Clean your nails with a cotton pad soaked in the remover. Hold the damp pad on the nail for a second and then wipe it off for a tough glitter polish. Clean your hands with liquid soap to get rid of any residue after your nails are bare.
Trim, Shape, And File Nails

Use a nail clipper to cut your nails to the length you want. Shape them with a nail file; square, oval, and almond are common shapes. To avoid fracturing or weakening the nail, always file in a single direction. Use a glass file to reduce damage to your delicate nails.
Soak And Care for Cuticles

To soften your cuticles, soak your nails in a small dish of warm, soapy water for three to five minutes. Using an orange stick or pusher, carefully pull back the cuticles. They shield your nails from bacteria, so don't trim them. For easy care, use a cuticle remover gel if your cuticles are dry.
Buff And Clean The Nails

To prepare your nails for polish application, lightly buff them. Even if you choose not to use polish, buffing provides your nails an attractive shine and eliminates ridges. Use a cotton pad dipped in solvent to wipe each nail to make sure there are no oils or lotions on it that can prevent the lacquer from sticking.
Apply Base Coat And Nail Polish

One stage that cannot be negotiated is the base coat. It soothes the nail surface, keeps stains at bay, and improves the adhesion of your polish. Apply a light application of base coat and allow it to dry completely. Next, apply two thin layers of the polish of your choice, letting each coat dry completely between applications.
Seal And Moisturize
Apply a matte or high-shine topcoat to your manicure to add endurance and seal the colour. Additionally, the topcoat keeps your nails from chipping, so they will look perfect for days. After drying, moisturize and preserve smoothness by using cuticle oil and hand lotion.

These seven steps will allow you to get salon-quality nails without leaving the comforts of your home. A well-executed manicure gives you more self-confidence and elevates your appearance, whether you're going for a minimalist style or a bright colour scheme. With consistent practice, you'll become an expert at creating the ideal at-home manicure!
