1. Choose Right
It is important to choose the right kind of wax and waxing strips, which are suitable for your skin type and are of good quality.

If it is your first time waxing at home, start first with smaller areas like your hands, armpits, etc. Larger areas like your legs, stomach, etc can be dealt with after more practice.

3. Avoid Sensitive Area
If it is your first time, try to avoid waxing areas, such as your bikini line, eyebrows, etc, as even a slight mistake can cause damage.

4. Do A Patch Test
Before starting your waxing session, apply a bit of wax on your skin and leave it on for 15 minutes to see if there are reactions like irritation or rashes.

5. Drink Water
Yes, an expert has opined that drinking a lot of water before the waxing process will help make your skin softer, thus reducing the pain.

6. Get It Right
It is very important to get the technique right and pull out the hair in the opposite direction of the hair growth.

7. After Care
Ensure that you cleanse the area with a mild wash and moisturise the area, after you are done waxing.
