Our feet are exposed to a lot of germs during the monsoon season. Though we cover them up with the best footwear in town, the rain water still finds its way in. There are a handful of ways to look after your feet in the monsoon season which doesn't consume too much of time.
The basic thing to do after getting wet in the rain is to remove your damp clothes, dry your tresses and most importantly remove the wet footwear. When your feet remains damp for a long time in a wet shoe, your toes will develop fungi and other harmful bacteria which will begin to eat into the skin.
Not drying your wet feet will also lead to smelly feet.

Wash Your Feet
As soon as you step indoors from the rain, remove your footwear. Wash your feet with clean water and walk barefoot for 10 to 15 minutes. This will allow your feet to breathe and feel fresh.

Washing your feet only with clear clean water is not sufficient. Use a herbal based shampoo or soap to wash your feet. Wash between your toes and focus on the ankles too. Using herbal soaps will prevent the formation of monsoon skin bacteria.
