Sunil Dutt and Nargis
It is a well-known story. Nargis' luminous aura, and a rare beauty of goodness spellbound Sunil Dutt when he first saw her at a premier. However their love story began at the sets of "Mother India". Sunil Dutt saved a stranded Nargis when the blaze roared out of control during the fire sequence in the film. Sunil Dutt always dreamt of a woman with exquisite beauty and a kind heart. He wanted a wife who would take care of him and his whole family. One day as he was sitting at the studio quite depressed, Nargis, walked in and asked the reason. As a co- star he expressed his worry about his sister who was diagnosed with TB gland. Later that night, after he reached home, he was surprised to discover that Nargis had not only come home and taken his sister to the hospital, but she had also scheduled the operation for the next day. Her concern made him realize that this is the woman of his dreams.

After few days Sunil Dutt finally decided to tell Nargis how he felt about her. One day he offered to drop her home. The scared hero couldn't even utter a single word. At last when he expressed his heart felt desire while taking the turn on Teen Batti - Walkeshwar road, she was numb or rather shocked with the proposal till they reached home. At that moment Sunil Dutt had decided that if she would refuse him, he would pack his bag and return to his village.

Well, Sunil Dutt did get a reply to his proposal after few days, from his sister. A shy Nargis gave her acceptance in front of his sister. Nargis was several years older than Sunil Dutt. Their marriage is of the stuff that legendary love stories are made of.

Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan
Amitabh and Jaya met for the first time at FTII, Pune and then again on the sets of Guddi. Although they were in mutual agreement called 'Love' they never formally dated. They always went out in groups. They married after the success of the movie 'Abhimaan'.

Sharukh Khan and Gauri
Sharukh Khan was awestruck when he walked down a New Delhi road after seeing the most amazing pair of legs in a short skirt. Before realizing to whom it belonged to he claimed he was in love. It was Gauri Khan. He was eighteen and she was fourteen when they first met.

Gauri was cool, classy and sophisticated whereas Sharukh was sloppy, hyper and hated dressing. The couple did have some disagreements in their opinions. It is said that Gauri used to fight, as she didn't like Sharukh to act in films. Sharukh on the other hand was very possessive about his ladylove whom he lovingly calls 'Gaurima' so much so that he would even pick up a quarrel with her even if she let her hair down.

The interesting love scene of this couple is when he combed every street of Mumbai in search of Gauri when she left him all alone in anger. Later when Gauri's family opposed their marriage, he wooed Gauri's family as in the film 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge'. Isn't that truly a bollywood style?
