2012 is almost at its fag end. And now that we are past the doomsday conspiracy theories, we can concentrate on some serious fashion. So who were the worst dressed celebrities of the year that is about to end? This question brings us to surprising answers this year. This is because some of the most hideous red carpet dresses were worn by the popular fashionistas.

Both Bollywood and Hollywood had their set of worst dressed celebrities. We spotted quite a few fashion mistakes in the red carpet dresses worn to award functions like Oscars, Emmy's and Cannes. We also spotted some terrible saree styles in the Indian award shows like Golden Petals and IIFA.

Some of the celebrities who are mentioned in the worst dressed list have also made it to the best dressed list this year. This shows that most celebs had their good and bad days when it comes to fashion in 2012. Many of the A-listers from Hollywood and Bollywood would like to forget the dresses they wore to the red carpet events this year. While some mature actresses choose the wrong outfits for themselves, there were also some new bees like Parineeti Chopra who made obvious mistakes out of inexperience.
