When Is Vishwakarma Puja 2023? Vishwakarma Puja also is known as Vishwakarma Puja or Biswakarma Puja and it is observed to celebrate the birth of the Vishwakarma God. Vishwakarma Jayanti Puja 2023: Worship Method
On this day, devotees engage in a craft or artwork, clean the appropriate place, sprinkle Ganga water, spread a yellow cloth at that place, and put the statue or photo of Vishwakarma on it. Along with these, also put the idol or photo of Lord Ganesha and worship it first.
After that, you must worship Lord Vishwakarma with utmost devotion as per the rituals. They apply tilak on the idol of Lord Vishwakarma, then perform the puja in the Shodashopachara method, offer some tools to him, and then complete the puja by performing aarti. After this, distribute Prasad among the families of workers and artisans.
Vishwakarma Puja 2023: History And Significance
In ancient Hindu texts, Lord Vishwakarma is revered as the divine craftsman who shaped the universe. The origins of Vishwakarma Puja trace back to the Vedic period. It is relished predominantly by craftspeople, architects, and engineers to bestow prospering luck for their professions.
If you look at the iconography of Lord Vishwakarma, you will find that he has four arms, in his hands are a hammer, a chisel, a lotus flower and a water vessel. His vehicle is Garuda.
Vishwakarma Puja is performed on the last day of Bhadrapada month. This puja starts when the Sun's Sankranti occurs i.e. the Sun enters a new zodiac sign. Worshiping Lord Vishwakarma in this Muhutu increases skills and technical efficiency.
