According to the Hindu calendar, Vaishakh Amavasya will start on 07 May at 11:40 am. It will end the next day on May 8 at 8:51 am. According to Udaya Tithi, Shani Jayanti will be celebrated mainly on 8th May.
Shani Jayanti 2024 Worship Method (Puja Vidhi)
On the day of Shani Jayanti, wake up before sunrise and meditate on the Gods and Goddesses with true heart. After this, take a bath in Brahma Muhurta. After bathing, wear clean and neat clothes. Spread a clean black cloth on a wooden stool. After this install the idol or picture of Lord Shani Dev. Now anoint the idol of Shani Dev with Ganga water. After this, get Abhishek done with Panchamrit also. Offer scent, flowers, and incense to Lord Shani Dev.
Then light the mustard oil lamp. Now perform the aarti of Shani Dev with devotion and pure mind along with reciting the mantra. After Aarti, offer fruits or sweets to Lord Shani Dev. By worshiping Hanuman ji as per the rituals on the birth anniversary of Lord Shani, a person gets freedom from all problems including diseases, defects, and sufferings. Worshiping Lord Hanuman on Shani Jayanti is also considered very good. Therefore, along with worshiping Lord Shani Dev, also worship Lord Hanuman.
