Tulsidas Jayanti 2023: Quotes By Great Indian Sage That Will Make You See Life From A Different Perspective
Tulsidas is a great Sage and a very prominent figure in Indian literature. He was born in the year 1532 in Rajapur, Uttar Pradesh and is widely known for his epic work Ramcharitmanas, which narrates the life of Lord Rama. Tulsidas' contributions to Hindi poetry and his profound impact on Indian culture make him one of the greatest poets in history.
This year Tulsidas Jayanti will be celebrated on 23 August 2023. Let us get inspired by his quotes that were dedicated to Lord Rama and implement the teachings in our lives.

1. "सतसंगते लब्धविवेको महान् हीनतरङ्गे ब्रह्मतत्त्वमानयन्ति।" (Sat-sangate labdha viveko mahaan, heen-tarange brahma-tattvamaanayanti)
Meaning: "In the company of the wise, one attains great discernment. In the absence of such association, even a great ocean resembles a puddle."
2. "मन चंगा तो कठौती में गंगा।" (Man changa to kathauti mein Ganga)
Meaning: If the mind is pure, even a small vessel will appear like the holy river Ganga.
3. "जो जो कर रहे सो भावना, मनुज तनु त्यागी सो जाना।" (Jo jo kar rahe so bhavana, manuj tanu tyagi so jaana.)
Meaning: Know that whatever one does is determined by their emotions within. Those who renounce the desires of the human body are truly wise.
4. "सुमिरि पद कमल रघुपत कीन्हा।" (Sumiri pada kamala raghupati keenha)
Meaning: You may meditate on the lotus feet of Lord Rama.
5. "रहिमन धागा प्रेम का, मत तोड़ो चटकाए। टूटे सो फिर ना जुड़े, जुड़े गांठ परि जाए।" (Rahiman dhaga prem ka, mat todo chhutkaaye. Toote so fir na jude, jude gaanth pari jaaye)
Meaning: The thread of love should not be broken, says Rahim. If it breaks, it cannot be mended, and wherever it is tied again, there remains a knot.
6. "जीवत शरणागत रहूं तुम्हारी, करुणा करो गिरिजा पति की प्यारी।" (Jeevat sharanaagat rahoon tumhaari, karuna karo Girija pati ki pyaari)
Meaning: May I always remain surrendered to you. O beloved of Girija's husband (Lord Shiva), please bestow your grace upon me.
7. "धीरे-धीरे रे मना, धीरे सब कुछ होय। माली सींचे सौ घड़ा, ऋतु आए फल होय।" (Dheere-dheere re mana, dheere sab kuch hoye. Maali seenche sau ghada, ritu aaye phal hoye)
Meaning: Everything happens at its own pace slowly. The gardener may water with a hundred pots, but the fruit arrives only in the right season.
