Gurudev replied: "I myself wonder, and I listen. It is my Master's voice playing through me".
That Gurudev was not the organizer of his own programs, came as a frequent reminder to all of us who, at every parting demanded to know, "Swamiji, when are you coming back to visit us again?"
Sometimes he would say; "When have I ever left you?
"I'm always with you!" or, "All I dare to do is work on a travel schedule about one year ahead. Planning past, that is interfering with the Lord's plan. He's in charge not I!" or, "Certainly I will come again when He brings back here!" And in letters to many a devotee he said words similar to these:
Chinmaya yajnas are all conducted by Him, and we are all but workers in His army..... let us realise our insignificance and learn to surrender unto him and be the torch-bearers in His mission.
