To Plunge Into The Ocean Of Bliss

Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa once asked Narendra (Swami Vivekananda), "Don't you want to plunge into this blissful ocean called God ?"
He further asked " If suppose there is a cup of syrup and you are a fly, where will you sit to enjoy the syrup?"
Narendra answered, "I would sit on the rim of the cup and partake of the syrup little by little"
Sri Ramakrishna asked, "Why not take a plunge into the syrup instead of indulging in it little by little?"
Narendra said "Because I am scared that I will be drowned in it"
Sri Ramakrishna then explained " That would not be the case with the ocean of eternal bliss. One would not lose one's consciousness. Man does not lose his consciousness by being mad about God"
Thus there is nothing to lose. Instead one would be eternally blissful. Bliss becomes one's essential nature or one realises the truth of one's ever blissful state. Bliss becomes reality with the so called everything else that seem so real to us drifts into illusion.
