The Essence Of True Surrender

Rama and Lakshmana once thrust their bows onto the bank of river Pampa while they descended to take a bath. When they emerged out of the water to the shore and pulled out their bows, they found blood stained in the tip of Lakshmana's bow. Rama directed Lakshmana's attention to it saying that they possibly could have hurt something.
Lakshmana at once dug the ground to find a bull frog hurt and bleeding. Rama enquired the frog in a sorrowful voice as to why it had not called out. He further asked as to why the frog submitted to the pain when it used to cry out in terror when ever it was likely to be the prey of a snake.
The frog replied, whenever I was in trouble I used to cry out 'Rama...'. But when Rama Himself was killing me I kept still.
Surrender is submission knowing no complaints.
