Yummilicious Chicken & Aloo Curry Recipe
Chicken is a much-loved non-vegetarian dish by many. For those who want to spice it up , here is a simple chicken and aloo curry recipe for you to prepare.
Since it is lean meat, it's a big treat for those who are on a weight loss programme. Chicken contains less amount of calories when compared to red meat.
However, the added yummy and spicy aloo added to the dish is something you need to control while enjoying this easy chicken curry recipe.
While preparing this dish, keep in mind that although it is simple, it is time consuming. If you have no time on your hands to prepare this sumptuous meal, make sure to pressure cook the chicken and then cook it along with the aloo.

Serves: 1 Bowl

Chicken (boneless breast pieces) - ½ kg
Coriander seeds - 1 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Clove - 3
Bay leaf - 2
Green cardamom - 4
Turmeric powder - 1 tbsp
Chilli powder - 1½ tbsp
Coriander powder - 1 tbsp
Ginger and garlic paste - 1 tbsp
Onion (chopped) - 1
Potatoes (chopped) - 2
Salt to taste
Tomatoes (chopped) - 1
Green chillies (sliced or chopped) - 1
Coriander leaves (finely chopped) - 1 sprig
Water - To boil the chicken

1. Take a pan and heat the oil in it.
2. Add mustard seeds, bay leaf and cardamom.
3. Add in the turmeric powder, chilli powder, cumin powder and coriander powder.
4. Add ginger and garlic paste.
5. Then add chopped onions and the peeled potatoes.
6. Stir and allow it to cook for a few minutes.
7. Now remove the lid and add the boneless breast chicken.
8. Add salt to taste
9. Cook for 10 minutes by closing the lid.
10. When partially cooked, add in the chopped tomatoes.
11. Add little water.
12. Cook for 10 more minutes.
13. Drop in chopped green chillies to the dish.
14. Also, add in chopped coriander leaves as garnish.
15. Cook for 5 minutes.
16. Serve hot.
