Tips To Handle First Day Of Preschool
The first day of preschool can be stressful for both your kid as well as yourself. Stressful for the kid because he/she will be away from you for so long for the first time. Stressful for you because naturally you would be worried about your kids reaction to the first day of preschool.
Some kids, however are very excited to go to preschool. But it is very important to know about their apprehensions about the new place. The solution to all the stress is to approach your kid in the right way and make him/her feel comfortable about the transition. The first and foremost thing that your child must realise is that the environment at preschool is not going to be the same as home and yet should not feel intimidated.

Here are a few useful tips to handle your kid's first day of preschool. Take a look.
Tip #1 Plan The Night Before
Rather than rushing into things in the morning, plan the night before. Pick up the clothes which your kid will wear in the morning. Make preparations for the breakfast beforehand. Pick up some snacks to pack in your kid's lunchbox.
Tip #2 Arrive Early With Your Tot
Arriving early to school will allow your tot to settle down properly before the action begins.
Tip #3 A Comfort Object
If your kid is too reluctant about the idea of being alone in preschool, you may let your child bring a stuffed toy or any comfort object with him/her so that the new setting doesn't look scary. Take permission from the school before you take any object along.
Tip #4 Act Happy
Even if you are anxious inside, do not let it show on your face. Seeing you happy will also instill confidence in your kid.
Tip #5 Don't Hover
Many preschools allow parents to hang around to see whether their kids feel okay. So, stick around to make your child comfortable but do not hover. You have to let the teacher take over you so that your tot is able to accept the new change.
These are a few tips which will definitely help you to calm down your nerves and help out your little one to step into a whole new world.
