6 Steps To Help Prevent Hemorrhoids -
- Eat well, it is best to eat fiber rich food like fresh fruits, healthy whole grains and vegetables. Make sure you get enough nutritious bulk from your daily diet.
- Avoid junk, do not drink artificial flavored drink or any drink that is not very healthy. Some alcoholic beverages can even cause hemorrhoid condition. Avoid drinks like alcohol, caffeine, soda drinks and specially the "Diet Colas" as they are harsh on the system.
- Drink the specified amount of water everyday (at least 8 glasses). Water cleanses the body system and removes all the toxins in the body. Those women who are obese and under postnatal phase need to drink water for better health.
- Allotting time for healthy activities like physical exercise can strengthen muscles, including the rectal area. Physical activity keeps one active and healthy, it is also a way to get rid of the body toxins and improves digestive system for better functioning.
- Maintain good cleanliness, keep the rectal area clean particularly during postnatal as it is one of the main step to prevent hemorrhoids. Wash undergarments frequently and wear loose comfortable cotton garments during the period.
- Another important factor that is needed for preventing hemorrhoids is maintaining body weight. Some extra kilos will have a lot of pressure on the weak body and may lead to serious conditions. Do not apply a lot of pressure on the anal area and don't lift heavy objects as it may add to pressure leading to swelling and pain associated with hemorrhoids.
