Does Late Pregnancy Raise Heart Attack Risk?
A new study claims that late pregnancy may increase the risk of heart attack and stroke. This study says that women who wait till 40 to have a baby are among the ones who may face the risk.

We all know that today's women are trying to delay their pregnancy due to many factors like career or late marriage. Health experts say that it is the older women who have more chances of undergoing certain problems during pregnancy.

This study claims that the effects of late pregnancy may affect the health of women in the long run. Researchers studied the medical records of more than 70,000 women who are in the age group of 50-80.

Researchers divided the women into two groups. One consisted of women who had early pregnancy whereas the other consisted of women who had late pregnancy.

And then, they studied the medical history of both the groups and came to a conclusion that the risk of stroke and heart attack increases in the long run due to late pregnancy.

Also, researchers say that women who had later pregnancy can actively take steps for better cardiovascular health in order to minimise their risks. Those who monitor their health regularly through medical tests and follow preventive measures may minimise the risk of stroke and cardiovascular issues.
