Are Kids Of Depressed Parents Impulsive
A new study claims that children of parents who suffer depression may turn into impulsive teenagers who tend to rebel and disobey rules.

This study says that there is a link between parental depression and brain activity in kids. Generally, the areas in the brain that are related to risk taking behavior tend to be active in kids of parents who have depression.

Currently, this is the first study that pointed out that there is a link between parental depression and brain activity of kids.

As a part of the study, many teenagers who were in the age group of 15-17 were examined for more than 3 years. Certain cognitive tests and brain imaging tests were done to analyse the origins of their behavior.

Most of the children who were involved in the study were kids of parents who suffered depression. And the kids' behaviour included impulsive behavior, recklessness and compulsive partying.

The study concluded that children of parents who have symptoms of depression may display impulsive behavior.
