A recent survey states that kids of today's generation are consuming too much salt which means high quantities of sodium entering the system at a very young age. This is a dangerous trend as the effects of salt on health can't be underestimated.
Today's kids consume salty foods like popcorn, crackers, chips and more. Though it may look quite normal to parents, things will take an ugly turn if the kid grows up into an adult who is addicted to salty foods.
The effects of salt go beyond obesity and hypertension; there are so many other health risks and this is why parents should first feed their kids with unsalted foods in the early stages so that the kid will not develop taste or addiction to salted foods at least till a particular age.
Remember that most of the good habits and bad habits start from childhood. If children are given proper foundation at a tender age, they grow up into healthy adults. Buy if you ignore such things during childhood, you and your kids may have to repent later on.

Most of the processed foods are totally loaded with huge quantities of sodium and this is why they must be kept way from your kids.
It would be wise to feed your kids with more of fruits and vegetables when they are young as they will be able to control their cravings better when they grow up on healthy foods more.
