Pay Close Attention To Your Children

The researchers who conducted a survey regarding this topic found that among the kids who said their parents never allowed them to watch R movies, few took up drinking over the next couple of years.
Among 3,600 school students participated the studies and around 3 percent children said that they started drinking when questioned 13 to 26 months after the initial survey.
19 percent of the children said that their parents are not very strict and sometimes let them see such flicks. One-quarter of the students revealed that their parents were so 'cordial' to allow them enjoy such movies 'all the time'.
This study reveals that parents should pay more attention to the children's media exposure. This is a very important aspect of parenting and one that is often overlooked, say the researchers.
This study has been published in the Journal of Studies on Alcohol and Drugs.
