The teenage trend is called the "Choking Game". The kids choke themselves or each other to feel the so called elation it gives them. The game has being making rounds since the past three years and have taken lifes of many children.
Psycologists say, that apart from the elation it is also a way chosen by children to meet peer pressure, mental stress and also to attract attention."
David Quibly lost his 18 year old son, who was an addict of this game. It was revealed only while investigating his mysterious death.
The choking game has been reported to be more popular among the rural children than the urban settings.
This game has stirred major concern in the United States. Education Consultant Andy Sustaita, says, it is a very dangerous trend and needs to be stopped. Seminars are being conducted for parents, telling them how to prevent their children. Children education regarding the disasters the game can cause are also being conducted.
