The minute you get pregnant, after the initial surprise and joy, the next thing that usually comes to mind is the question about the baby's gender, right?
Although, in many countries, detecting the gender of the baby, while he/she is still in the womb is against the law, many parents would still want to know about the gender for various reasons.
For example, knowing the gender of the child would help them pick a name, clothes, etc., for the new baby.

So, sometimes, the parents would be eager to know the gender of the baby, rather eagerly.
Now, it is believed that there are certain physical signs that can be seen in a pregnant woman, which differs based on the gender of the child.
They say that, if the pregnant woman gains more pregnancy weight, she might give birth to a boy and if her pregnancy weight is normal it could be a girl.

How The Baby's Gender Impacts The Mother's Health
A recent research study published in the journal, Brain, Behaviour And Immunity, says that there could be significant links between the baby's gender and the mother's health.
A research centre in the Ohio State University conducted a study on 80 pregnant women and analyzed their health, based on the foetal gender.

It was found that many women, carrying female babies, produced more number of inflammatory cells in their blood.
Inflammatory cells, when they are produced in excess in the body, could lead to a decreased immunity, exposing the woman to infectious diseases.
It was also found the pregnant women, carrying male babies, did not over produce the inflammatory cells.
Inflammatory cells are also known to cause disorders like asthma is many pregnant women, carrying female babies.
So, in conclusion, pregnant women carrying female babies could be more prone to diseases, in comparison to pregnant women carrying male babies.
