From Breast Feeding To the Bottle!

However, the child will have to stop breast feeding and switch to the bottle in a few years time. So here are some few ways to help you parents on how to handle this situation of your child, from breast feeding to bottle feeding.
1. The first parenting tip to follow is to learn what your baby would prefer. Purchase two bottles, one made of glass and the other of plastic. As per what your baby finds comfortable, see to it that she/he is given so. There are some parents who prefer plastic over glass, as it is much lighter and indeed safer!
2. When it comes to bottle feeding, the most important is a comfortable nipple. The nipple of the bottle should be soft and indeed of a good quality plastic to avoid stomach infections. The latex nipples too are good for the baby right after he/she is getting over with breast feeding. Keep in mind to check the condition of the nipples like tearing or bits of plastic wearing off as it can cause choking, which is dangerous.
3. When it comes to bottle feeding, one parenting tip to keep in mind is to sterilize the bottle after every use. Wash the nipple and the bottle with hot water and good detergent. This helps to keep the bottle free from bacteria and plastic erosion.
4. One parenting tip to keep in mind is to never store milk in the bottle for a long period of time. After your baby is done with bottle feeding for the day, see that the bottles are washed and sterile with hot water. Storing milk in the bottle will leave behind n odor and will cause the fresh milk to stale when added in.
So, these are some of the parenting tips one must follow when it comes to your baby changing from breast feeding to bottle feeding.
