According to the World Health Organization, malaria is the most common infectious disease in the world.

The drugs known as arteminsinin and piperaquine were known to be the best treatments for the mosquito-borne illness.

But scientists are now seeing resistance to these drugs by patients residing in certain parts of the world. This they assert to be one of the greatest threats to the control and elimination of malaria.
This can be a potential threat. The disease still kills more than 4,20,000 people each year worldwide.
