7 Annoying Things Indians Are Known For
Living in India is an experience in itself. It is house to billions of people, each one fundamentally different in too many ways. We are also called the land of Gods, as we have notably 33 crore Gods, according the Hindu mythology.
Most of us are cultural freaks. We take pride in the fact that in this land of dreams, even with all the diversities involved, we still live quite peacefully. But we have our differences on more than a few things as well. And there are some annoying things about Indians too.
10 Things Only An NRI Does In India
Do not mistake us. We have a well-oiled legal system in India. But most of the times, Indian people end up making a mockery of it. And since our attitude is such that we accept anything and everything after a period of time, things continue the way they were.
In recent times, we have seen quite a few social initiatives that bring about changes in the way we live. But it is time that we as a society accept that we cannot be better humans just because of our culture or by wearing a tee-shirt that screams we are humans! We need to accept the flaws and make amends.
Today though, we intend to list some of the weird things that are totally legal in India. Read on and hit us with more points if you can think of something.

Peeing on walls is okay, because toilet is too mainstream!
Peeing in public is so common that almost every road smells like piss! Public toilets are avoided as they charge anyone who uses them. The Ugly Indian has come up with innovative methods to tackle this problem and you really need to see them. Even then, it is practised everywhere and continues to be one of those annoying things that Indians do.

Bribing is how we do it here!
In India, bribing is a way of life. People who take it are millionaires or are getting there anyway. The common man pays up the bribe without questioning or having any second thoughts about his actions. It's that common in India! We have Ipaidabribe.com which is doing a great job in stopping bribery from raising its ugly head. But the unique thing about Indians is that most of them don't even know that a site like that exists!
Criminals can act in movies
Criminals acting in movies is a common sight in India. To hell with laws, right? Who gives a shit as to what he/she did? The director just cares about his movie. Parole duration is left to the criminal's imagination. He/she can stay out, enjoy the premiere of the movie and go back when they please. Another instance that makes India truly unique!

Merit? Ye bata ki tu SC/ST hai, ya General?
College admissions nowadays are as difficult as they could be. The highly competitive nature of the students is at an all-time high. And to make matters worse, the reservation system plays havoc with most. Merit literally means shit in India. Reservation is just another annoying thing about Indians.

Patriarchy
One of the most annoying things about Indian culture is the patriarchal set up that exists even today. The father controls everything in the family. The Indian society expects every family to follow that pattern. Due to this, men have become either ego-centric or are subject to public ridicule. The patriarchal family is often blamed for rape and the general lack of respect for women in India.

In the name of our holy Culture
We Indians do a lot of stuff in the name of culture. Moral policing is rampant, abortion is a taboo, women should refrain from speaking about sex just because they're women and so many more double standards! All this in the name of culture! Culture is what define us but now it has just become one of those annoying things that indians do.

Section 377
While love is accepted worldwide among lesbians or gays, in India, it is still a hush hush issue. Instead of 'Live and let live', Indians judge others to the brink of death. Another annoying thing about Indians is their gross violation of rights for the LGBT community.
