Ways To Save Water: World Water Day
It's World Water Day today. Water conservation is the need of the hour. In spite of ¾ th part of the Earth being covered with water, many nations of the world are suffering due to the scarcity of water. So, to bring out the importance of water conservation UNESCO has declared 22nd of March as the World Water Day.
UN has predicted that 3.4 billion people will be living in countries defined as water-scarce by 2025. When water is scarce, people are forced to consume contaminated water.
So, it is our responsibility to conserve water in every possible way. On this World Water Day, let us find out the ways to conserve water.

Close Your Taps: If you are washing your facebrushing your teeth and you need to get the tap warm, use that initial cooler water to brush your teeth, and then wash your face afterwards.
Choose Star Appliances: Use energy star appliances whenever possible and always use them at full capacity. Do not use unnecessary water in your washing machine.
Stop The Leaky Toilet: Not only does it sound annoying, it wastes loads of water. Leaks can often be fixed by making minor adjustments. Every droplet counts. So, save it.
Do Not Throw Away: If you pour too much out or have some left in your glass, use it. Pour the surplus into your dog's water dish, water a plant, or add it to your water kettle.
Rain Water Harvest: You can collect the water from the rain and store it. Later use this water to water your plants. Isn't that awesome?
There is so much each individual can do to save water. With our little efforts we can save so many lives who are living on contaminated water. So, make your contribution.
