Drive Away 'Monday Blues' With These Tips

Though claimed to be a myth, 'monday blues' has become an inevitable part of our life. Thanks to the weekend parties and weekend relaxation methods we have adopted. But as in all issues, this issue too can be dealt with, if you practice a few simple tips.
Check out these tips to overcome 'monday morning blues';
1.Try not to sleep in late during weekends. If you do party until very late in the night, try to wake up at least by 7 and get on with your day. Make up for your lack of sleep, by enjoying an afternoon nap instead.
2.If you are not able to overcome the habit of sleeping in during weekends, then try sleeping for longer on Monday mornings. Say at least an hour. But do not sleep beyond a point when you'll have to rush to work. This only increases stress and leads to a bad day.
3.Dedicate a couple of hours on Sunday evenings to preparing for the week ahead such as planning your outfit for the week. If not for the entire week, at least for next day, that is Monday. Remember to pick you favourite outfit for work, take extra minutes to dress for work.
4.Try to plan and make basic preparations for what you'll pack for lunch for the next day. It's actually better if you skip preparing breakfast. Instead have lunch outside, this will also give you a short break at office.
5.Try to finish all the reporting work before you retreat for the weekend. This way you won't feel pressurized about work when you return to work on Monday. Neatly arrange your desk on Friday evening. A clean and organized cubicle will motivate you to work better during the day and avoid depression at work.
Follow these simple tips to overcome your 'monday morning blues' and get on with a brighter start to the forthcoming week.
