The recent Facebook trend of 'change your profile pic to cartoon' seems to have gained a lot of fans and millions of Facebook users have changed their profile pic to cartoon characters. It can be said that Facebook is celebrating the the 'cartoon characters week'.

Reportedly, 'cartoon pics for Facebook' has been ranked eight of all the Google search keywords. 'Change your profile pic to a cartoon' started on 21st November and went on till November 28th, but then the motive of fight against child abuse was attached to it, which got this whole campaign into a more serious affair as to how the usage of cartoon characters on Facebook effect child abuse.

The campaign is believed to have started in Greece and read, "In support of anti-child violence, change your Facebook profile picture to a cartoon from your childhood. Until Monday Dec. 6, there should be no human faces on Facebook, but an invasion of memories. Join the fight against child abuse. Invite your friends to do the same."

The controversies has in no way undermined the interest of Facebook users to change the profile pic to cartoon. Here are the top favourite Facebook cartoons being used by Facebook users -
