The terrorists attacks on Mumbai has left the largest Democracy in the world confused. While the world looked at the horrid scenes of bloodshed and destructions caused by the attackers, the subconscious mind of every Indian asks, 'how safe are we in our own country?'

Yes, one of the most beautiful architecture symbols, the Taj Palace was damaged, true more than 200 lives were lost and not to forget our brave commandos and majors who lost their lives trying to protect. As the vivid image of the burning Taj and shattered bodies swarmed the media coverage, one questions haunt the logical thinking minds, 'What are the current Indian leaders (hate the word politicians) doing?' 'Why dint the Intelligence take the prior threats seriously?'

The invaders arrived on boats... stunning..but the true threats are the politicians who rule through the innocent public votes. Remember the 'Twenty20' victory of the Indian cricketers? Each player was showered with hefty prize money and not to forget their 'custom designed' travel buses, while at the time of attacks our commandos traveled on 'PUBLIC BEST' buses??? The Jawan's salaries are not worth mentioning as compared to the prize money that the cricketers get even when they loose a match.

250 crores are spent every year for protecting VVIP's. We have 14,200 cops to protect the VIP's only in the capital Delhi, this clearly shows the illogical distribution of wealth and resource. No wonder at the time of national crisis it was tough to distribute forces. Nevertheless, huge applause goes for the NSG forces.

India hued and lavished the Olympic shooting stay Abhinav Bindra. The sports star received 3 crore plus awards, sounds great. A real life shooter plays with his life protecting the country and in the process looses his life, what does the Indian government do? Pay his family a merge 5 lakhs? It is not about money, it is about how you pay your respect.

Kerela chief minister's ruthlessly commented 'even a dog would not have arrived if he were not a Major' when denied entrance to the martyr Major Sandeep Unikrishnan funeral shows the extent of the politicians feelings towards the lives lost during the attacks.

They arrived, they attacked, we fought back and we won. But Indians now realize the true heroes of the nation and the pathetic scene of the Indian politics. Wake up and wake up fast before it is too late.
