Most of us are movie enthusiasts and crave a new story, and big screen experience and no matter how many movies we watch, the hunger of watching something new, be it horror, thriller, comedy, romance, or more is never satiated. Recently, the Multiplex Association of India (MAI) has declared that National Cinema Day 2023 will be celebrated across India on 13 October this year and the best part is movie enthusiasts will be able to watch films at an affordable price and to be precise, the tickets will be available for just Rs 99.

On this day, more than 4,000 screens at multiplexes from India (PVR INOX, Cinepolis, Miraj, and Delite) have teamed up to participate in the National Cinema Day celebrations.

According to reports, in 2022, more than 6.5 million people went to the theatres on National Cinema Day, which was celebrated on 23 September.

MAI president Kamal Gianchandani told BQ Prime, "Audiences of all ages came together to celebrate this historic day at the cinemas. We are thankful to the 6.5 plus million moviegoers who attended their local cinema to purchase movie tickets, making 23 September the highest attended day of the year for the Indian cinema industry."

You can book the tickets on National Cinema Day 2023 via PayTM, BookMyShow, and official cinema chain websites. However, this exclusive offer will exclude recliner and premium formats.

Movie enthusiasts will be charged only ₹99 per admission at cinema halls across the country. Multiplex Association of India (MAI) in an open letter said, "This special occasion brings audiences of all ages together for a day of cinematic bliss, celebrating the incredible success of multiple films at the box office this year. It's a heartfelt 'thank you' to all the moviegoers who contributed to this success and an open invitation to those who haven't yet returned to their local cinema," mentioned a report by PTI.

• Go to your preferred cinema network (for example BookMyShow, Paytm, or Official cinema chain websites )
• Visit the website
• Select your city
• All the tickets will be available at Rs.99 across India
• Select the date, and time slot and mention the number of seats
• Complete the payment
• Tickets will reflect on the screen or you can download them with a click

Apart from watching the movies, you can also savour your favourite food and beverages which will also start at 99. This offer is applicable in selected cities and cinemas only, as mentioned PVR on X (formerly Twitter). Apart from that, Miraj Cinemas too offers the bonanza at select locations.
