Man From Ujjain Gets Inspired By Ramayana, Gifts Mother Footwear Made From His Own Skin
How far will you go to show your love and devotion towards your family, especially your mother?
In a heartwarming yet shocking display of immense devotion and love, Raunak Gurjar from Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, has become the center of attention, but not for the reasons one might expect.

Known in the past for his criminal activities, Gurjar has now made headlines for an extraordinary gesture towards his mother - a pair of footwear made from his own skin.
This unique gift was presented during the seven-day Bhagwat Katha at the Akhada ground in Sandipani Nagar, Ujjain, marking a departure from his notorious past.
The act moved his mother to tears, expressing her gratitude and blessings for her son. She told The Free Press Journal, "I consider myself fortunate to have a son like Ronak. May God protect him from all hardships and bless him with a life devoid of any sorrow."

Gurjar's decision to create such a personal and unusual gift came after he was injured in the leg by police gunfire. The skin for the footwear was harvested from his thigh, then handed over to a skilled cobbler to craft into sandals.
This act of immense love was inspired by Gurjar's deep connection with the Ramayana and the lessons of Lord Rama. He stated in an interview with Times Now, "Lord Rama himself said that even making sandals from one's own skin is not enough for one's mother. So, this idea came to my mind, and I decided to make footwear from my skin and gift them to my mother."
Gurjar's gesture goes beyond the personal, aiming to convey a message to society about the importance of parents. "I want to tell society that heaven lies at the feet of the parents. The father is the ladder to heaven, while the mother is the one who will make it there," he explained further to News18.
The emotional moment culminated when Gurjar adorned his mother's feet with sandals during the Bhagavad Katha, led by Jitendra Maharaj.
