Corey Broke The News At The Age Of 11

Corey always knew that she wanted to be a girl, but she was scared of disapproval from her parents and the society, yet brave little Corey went ahead and confessed about being a transgender.

Corey's Revelation

Corey revealed in an interview, "I wanted to make my parents proud of who I am, but I thought that they would not like me." She also feared familial rejection at first, but once she came out, she was confident about her ownself.

It Took 3 Years For Corey's Mum To Reveal The News As Well

Since Corey revealed to her parents about her identity, it took 3 months for her mum (Erica) to understand her own preferences. After 3 years, she came out as well, and to everyone's surprise, her family accepted her as well.

After 4 Years…

After the mother revealed about her preferences, it has been over 4 years and they have become a father-daughter duo that face every step of their unique journey with strength and pride.

Mother Erica Hated Being Pregnant

Erica, who is currently known as Eric, felt uncomfortable as a woman in his whole life, and apparently he "hated being pregnant." He apparently felt trapped inside his body, which kept him confused for all these years, unless he saw his own child change.

When Erica Changed Herself To Eric

For over a year of difficult conversations, testosterone therapy, and a double mastectomy, Erica started seeing the changes in her ownself and hence became Eric. He reveals that he feels better than ever, and has been embraced with open arms by his loving family.
