They Have Been In The History
Their existence has been mentioned in Mahabharata and certain Islamic scriptures, where they served the Mughal rulers. Their origin of participation has clearly been from a Hindu origin, but according to history, it was also practised by Muslims as well.

They Earned Money By Working Hard…

The rebirth ceremony is followed when each hijra is born, which is called the Nirvana! In this ceremony, the penis and the testicles are removed from the external male sex organs and the impotent male is transformed into a potent Eunuch.

The Special Diet
Before the kinnar goes in for the ceremony of becoming a potent kinnar, they are supposed to follow a special diet in which there are certain restrictions and isolation period like a lady who has just entered motherhood. This is done for 40 days before the surgery.

They Are Believed To Have Supernatural Abilities
They can foretell events, as they have supernatural abilities to perceive events of the future. It is also said that they can foresee their death.

Their Death Is A Dark Affair
The people involved in mourning during their death is limited to a very few, as they have a very secretive ceremony. it is believed that their death rituals are carried out at night.
