If you are under the impression that Shruti Haasan is actually planning to become a ‘bride', then don't jump the gun till you read this! The beauty is still single. However, Shruti Haasan is on Harper's Bazaar Bride cover dressed as a Southern Indian bride. Shruti Haasan is on this magazine cover showcasing some really brilliant bridal wear from designer Rahul Mishra. And while there is no doubt that Shruti Haasan looks stunning in these sarees, but the real star of the edition is Rahul Mishra who has designed these spectacular bridal outfits.

Shruti Haasan is on the Harper's Bazaar Bride cover for May 2014 and this is only the third edition of the magazine in India. The previous cover girl for the magazine was Alia Bhatt. The Harper's Bazaar Bride magazine covered Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor as a bridal couple for their movie ‘2 States' in April, 2014.

SHRUTI HAASAN STUNS IN BLACK MAXI

Shruti Haasan was in a saree that looked like a kanjeevaram for the cover of the magazine. We saw her in two other outfits, one in orange and gold and the other in white, in the inside pages of the magazine. All the bridal weaves were designed by Rahul Mishra. The magazine portrays the modern face of a traditional South Indian bride. Shruti Haasan is in Rahul Mishra designs that use traditional Southern silk for contemporary designs.

Inside the magazine, we can see Shruti Haasan in a orange and gold checked saree. The interesting part of the look is that Shruti is wearing a leather belt with the saree.

A South Indian bride is usually seen as traditional. But in this edition, the Southern bride is portrayed in traditional southern silk sarees that have been used to make modern bridal outfits.
