Cate Blanchett is the winner of 2014 Best Actress Oscar Award. The Australian actress won the Oscar 2014 Best Actress in a Leading Role for her breathtaking performance in Blue Jasmine.

Cate Blanchett won her second Oscar and after watching her performance in Blue Jasmine, there was no doubt that the actress will miss the Oscars. She had earlier won Best Supporting Actress for The Aviator (2005).

Cate Blanchett who stunned at the red carpet of Oscars 2014 also won the honoured award tonight. Cate wore a heavily embellished flesh coloured Giorgio Armani gown. The gown had featured a sheer fine tulle fabric and flutter cap sleeves.

The 44-year-old's gown complemented her complexion perfectly. While Cate Blanchett won Oscars 2014 for the Best Actress in a Leading Role, Leonardo DiCaprio was unfortunate even this year!

This was the fourth time that Leo was nominated for Oscars and he missed it again! So who won the Best Actor in a Leading Role Oscar award? It was none other than Matthew McConaughey. Matthew won the Oscar award for his pivotal role in Dallas Buyers Club. Last Year's Best Actor winner Daniel Day-Lewis presented the Best Actor award to Matthew.

Meanwhile, Best Actress in a Supporting Role Oscar award went to Lupita Nyong'o for 12 Years A Slave. And the Best Actor in a Supporting Role went to Jared Leto for Dallas Buyers Club.
