Building snow sculptures is common during christmas. It is a customary for children and families during the winter season. Gigantic snowman or snowwoman is hard to build as the speed of the wind during the season is high. But the world's tallest, largest and biggest snowmans are built in Bethel. This year's is still yet to come.

In 2008, 122 Ft 1 inch tall snowman was made. Bethel, a place in Maine exhibited and created a world record. The giant snowman, in honor was named as Olympia Snowe, the senior republican U.S senator who represented from Maine.

This wasn't the time Maine created such a record. A 113 feet 7 inch snowman was set in 1999 in the same place. It was also honoured in the name of governor Angus king calling it “Angus, King of the Mountain". It largest snowman weighed about 9,000,000 pounds.

As of today, the largest snowman of 2011 is the Vern Scoville's snowman in northern New York. The 35 foot tall was built by the Scoville guy to keep the tradition. While the last year frosty giant was 25 foot tall. When asked the boy said that it is something he and his family members would like doing after the holidays.
