As the India Meteorological Department (IMD) had forecasted, northern India is now bracing for continued rain, thunderstorms, and even hailstorms through May 7 turning this brief spell of relief into a region-wide weather event.

More gravely, in Dwarka, a powerful gust brought down a neem tree on a tube well structure. The incident claimed the lives of Jyoti, a 26-year-old woman, and her three children.
