Jennifer Hudson reveals about her new "gay" best friend and that is none other her assistant Walter.

“My assistant Walter is going to kill me for this, but whatever," she said in an interview with The Advocate.
“Walter and I have been friends since sixth grade. He"s by far my closest friend and my closest gay friend ever."

For the question that does she still get star struck when she meets other celebrities, Jennifer Hudson admitted that she does.

“I don"t often get star struck, but once in a while I still do. Recently I met R. Kelly for the first time and I was star struck. Or when I met Whitney Houston for the first time. And Beyonce obviously. But other than that it"s just nice to meet everybody, but sometimes I do have those moments."

About her personal life, Jennifer Hudson said that she had missed her son very much on her recent trip to South Africa and had flew back to US just to see the 19-month-old. The star also stated that her love for son David was no different from her mother's for her. The 29-yr-old star's mother Darnell Donnerson was murdered in 2008.

“You know what? My momma would do it for me, so I needed to go and see about my child, and I hopped on that plane," Jennifer Hudson said.
