Journalist Nicole LaPorte talks about the incident in her new book 'The Men Who Would Be King: An Almost Epic Tale of Moguls, Movies, and a Company called DreamWorks."
She claims that in 2000, Crowe allegedly fought with Branko Lustig, and swore at him, saying: "I will kill you with my bare hands."
Lustig, a survivor of the Auschwitz concentration camp, took the matter to Steven Spielberg, whose DreamWorks studio was backing the film.
This is what the book says, the truth behind the tale still awaits to be found out. The spokes person of Russell Crowe has denied all the allegations and rubbished the book, as a gossip seeker.
Russell Crowe himself has still not come up with any comments.
