Britney Spears is the most searched for name on the Internet over the past decade.

Terrorist Osama bin Laden follows the pop star in the second spot, while footballer David Beckham comes in the third position.

Some names are popular searches for a year or two and then they are not searched for. However, Britney Spear's name tops the search lists for about a whole decade.

Names to follow Britney Spears in the top ten list are Osama bin Laden, David Beckham, Princess Diana, Tony Blair, Madonna, Simon Cowell, Jade Goody, Madeleine McCann and Brad Pitt.
