Michelle Obama's Dress At Presidential Inauguration

The US first Lady wore a pale gold dress, matched with a coat made of Swiss wool lace, lined with French silk, at President-husband Barack's swearing-in ceremony. The label was Isabel Toledo piece and was teamed with a set of contrasting emerald green stilettos and patterned diamante collar.
British newspaper Daily Telegraph saw her attire as "a strong, modern statement", and The Daily Mail also praised Michelle for being "effortlessly stylish".
However, she was stated "very strange outfit. Far too glitzy and blingie", by the New York Post and the LA times held similar opinion. "Rather disappointing choice for a woman who generally has excellent fashion sense. Going to have to kick it up a notch from this dowdy outfit if she wants to be the next Jackie/Diana," News.com.au quoted the LA times as saying.
"The dress is rather dull for the moment. It fails to accentuate her figure. This would be a dress for church, and not this memorable day," another writer added.
Hoe ever, the fashion 'icon' First Lady later changed to white chiffon, one-shoulder gown, designed by Jason Wu for the inauguration ball, to which the president responded by saying, "First of all, how good looking is my wife?" AGENCIES
